RVService.PRO ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and platform at rvservice.pro (the "Platform"). Please read it carefully. By using the Platform you consent to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly

  • Name and contact information: When you register, we collect your full name, email address, and phone number.
  • Profile information: Technicians may provide a bio, years of experience, RVIA certification status, service specialties, and a profile photo.
  • Location data: We collect your city and state, and optionally your approximate geographic coordinates (latitude/longitude) to power location-based features. We do not track your real-time GPS location.
  • Job postings: Owners provide a job title, description, RV details, and may upload photos of the RV or issue being serviced.
  • Messages: In-app messages between Owners and Technicians are stored on our servers to enable the messaging feature.
  • Reviews and ratings: Ratings and written reviews you submit are stored and displayed publicly on the Platform.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Log data: When you visit the Platform, our servers automatically record your IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: We use session cookies and persistent cookies to maintain your login session and remember preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this may limit functionality.
  • Analytics data: We use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregated, anonymized usage data including page views, session duration, and traffic sources. Google Analytics may set its own cookies; see Google’s privacy policy for details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To display your public profile to other users (Technicians only).
  • To match Owners with Technicians based on location and service type.
  • To send transactional notifications (new quotes, messages, appointment updates) via email and SMS.
  • To improve Platform features and user experience.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Between platform users: A Technician’s public profile (name, location, bio, specialties, phone if provided, ratings) is visible to any visitor. When an Owner posts a job and a Technician submits a quote, the Owner can see the Technician’s profile. Message content is visible only to the parties in the conversation.
  • Third-party service providers: We share data with vendors who help us operate the Platform (see Section 4). These vendors are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of users or the public.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

  • Clerk (clerk.com) — Authentication and user management. Clerk handles your login, session tokens, and stores a copy of your email address and name. See Clerk’s Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudinary (cloudinary.com) — Cloud storage and delivery for profile photos and job images you upload. Your uploaded images are stored on Cloudinary’s servers. See Cloudinary’s Privacy Policy.
  • Resend (resend.com) — Transactional email delivery. We send your email address to Resend to deliver notifications and account emails. See Resend’s Privacy Policy.
  • Twilio (twilio.com) — SMS notifications. If you opt in to SMS alerts, your phone number is transmitted to Twilio to deliver messages. See Twilio’s Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics 4 (google.com) — Website analytics. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
  • Railway (railway.app) — Our database and hosting infrastructure. Your data is stored on Railway’s PostgreSQL servers.
  • Sentry (sentry.io) — Error monitoring. Sentry receives error reports and stack traces from the Platform to help us fix bugs. Error reports may include partial request data but are not used to identify individuals.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit and access controls on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message.
  • Close your account at any time.

California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information). Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Links to Other Sites

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., ElkhartRVParts.com). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.
